City of Burlington Makes Pathetic/Hilarious Attempt to Repair Street
The street I live on is not nice. It doesn’t really bother me, I’m only here for another month. But there’s nowhere to turn around, nowhere to park, and the condition of the pavement is absolutely abhorrent.
So somebody decided to step up and do something about it.
Problem is, what they “did” was so pointless I laughed out loud when I walked out to my truck. Not a hearty villain cackle, more like a single-breath “pfft” laugh you make when you watch a good Seinfeld episode for the fourth time. But still.
I don’t know if this is the City of Burlington‘s idea of infrastructure repair, or just some vigilante union member on the edge got psyched up and barfed a few hot, finely ground stones on the pavement.
Or maybe two smatterings of blacktop fell off the back of a truck.
Either way, I’m guessing the market value of my house just tripled so I’m hoping my rent doesn’t increase.
Now it’s time to hit the road… I’m roving to Boston, and hoping the Sox don’t get rained out!
